Product Description

Featuring a simplistic design with limited moving parts, gear pumps are remarkably compact. While they may not match reciprocating pumps in terms of pressure generated or centrifugal pumps in flow rates, gear pumps still offer higher throughputs and pressures than lobe or vane pumps. Their superior performance makes them particularly suitable for handling high viscosity fluids such as oils.

External gear pumps are known for their capability to handle higher pressures, reaching up to 3000 psi. This is due to their enhanced shaft support and closer tolerances, which provide increased rigidity. Moreover, these pumps are also capable of sustaining higher flow rates. On the other hand, internal gear pumps excel in their suction capabilities, making them particularly suitable for handling high viscosity fluids. They exhibit a wide operating range, accommodating fluids with viscosities ranging from 1cP to over 1,000,000cP.
Gear pumps are frequently utilized in metering and blending operations because their output is directly proportional to the rotational speed. This characteristic allows for precise control and efficient mixing processes. Additionally, gear pumps can be engineered to handle aggressive liquids. Traditionally, materials like cast iron or stainless steel have been used in their construction. However, advancements in alloys and composites have made it possible for gear pumps to handle corrosive substances such as sulphuric acid, sodium hypochlorite, ferric chloride, and sodium hydroxide. This has expanded their application possibilities in various industries.

Hydraulic power applications, such as vehicles, lifting machinery, and mobile plant equipment, can also utilize external gear pumps. By reversing the operation of a gear pump and directing oil from another part of the system (typically via an engine-mounted tandem pump), a hydraulic motor is created. This allows for efficient power transmission and control in various hydraulic systems.

Packaging & Shipping

The packaging plan for a single pump involves placing it inside sturdy plywood cases, which are then reinforced with fixed timbers and wrapped with protective plastic film.

To ensure that our products are packed correctly without any damage, we will be observing container loading in our factory. This will give us the assurance we need that everything is being packed in the right way.
