Upon arrival at the site, the base unit will already have the motor installed. This means that there is no need to remove the pump and motor when leveling the base.

Pad the base by 20-40 mm and place a wedge-shaped horn near the anchor bolts before putting the base on the foundation. Make sure to prepare it for leveling and filling with grout to complete the process.

Before proceeding with the installation of the structure, it is important to ensure that the base is level. To do this, a spirit level can be used to check for any unevenness. Once any discrepancies are identified, adjustments should be made until the base is perfectly level. Next, the anchor nut should be tightened to secure the structure. To reinforce the base, it should be filled with cement slurry and left to dry. After the cement has set, it is recommended to recheck the levelness of the base to ensure that it has not shifted during the drying process. This will ensure that the structure is stable and safe for use.

In cases where the power of the unit is at a higher level, it may be more convenient to package the pump, motor, and base separately for easy transportation. In such cases, the user will need to take up the responsibility of installing and calibrating the pump unit on their own. To do this, there are a few simple steps that need to be followed.

To prevent the pump shaft from moving, it is necessary to adjust its level first. Once the level is adjusted, tighten the nut appropriately to secure it in place. This will ensure that the pump shaft remains stable and doesn't experience any unintended movements.

To align the pump coupling and the motor coupling, first, hoist the motor and then carefully lower it to the bottom in order to match their respective positions.

In order to ensure the proper functioning of the motor and pump system, it is essential to adjust the gap between the two couplings. This should be done by adjusting the gap to around 5mm. Additionally, it is important to verify that the axis of the motor shaft and the pump shaft are aligned. To do this, you can use a flat ruler and ensure that the outer circle of the two couplings is level with the ruler. If they are not aligned, the relative position of the motor or pump should be adjusted accordingly, or a pad can be added to create the correct alignment. Remember, proper alignment is key to the efficient operation and longevity of the motor and pump system.

A feeler gauge should be used to measure the gap between the two coupling planes during installation to verify accuracy. This should be done at multiple points around the circumference of the coupling. The acceptable range for maximum and minimum gap difference on the coupling plane is 0.3 mm. Additionally, the difference between the top and bottom or left and right of the center line of the end should not exceed 0.1 mm. Strict adherence to these measurements will ensure proper installation of the coupling system.

When installing a unit without a base, it is important to place it directly on the foundation and make necessary adjustments with great care. The method employed is similar to that of the previous method, but corrections must be done more thoroughly. For smaller spaces, a horizontal single-stage centrifugal pump is ideal, as it sucks in horizontally and discharges vertically. Furthermore, the outlet of a vertical single-stage centrifugal pump may be installed on either side, providing ample flexibility in arranging and installing pipelines, thereby saving valuable space.
